HAWAII, 2006-2007
In partnership with the North Hawaii Community Learning Centers (a consortium of
six after-school programs based in Title I schools), children on the Big Island
of Hawaii participated in The Comic Book Project. Educators on the Big Island
participated in a series of workshops, and then implemented the project in a
variety of settings. The Hawaii project impacted children in grades 1-10. Their work will result in a publication and exhibit, which will launch next
year's Hawaii project.
